We've been a bit quiet on here lately! But that doesn't mean that nothing is happening. Quite the opposite actually. We're all on the final push towards competing in The Race. Next Saturday 5th March nine members of our group will line up on the start line for a 250km endurance challenge. To complete the challenge each of us will have to complete 66kms of running, 175kms of cycling and 15kms of sea kayaking. Finish inside 24 hours or don't finish at all. The Race goes across some of the harshest terrain that this country has to offer. Ceaseless hills, exposed coastal roads and wild variations in weather are par for the course so it's going to be the hardest 24 hours that most of us will ever face. So if you see any of the group this week..... give them a hug... we'll need every boost we can get smile emoticon
Best of luck to Loren Harnett, Stephen Geraghty, Martin Carey, Dean Rudd, Joe Laffan, Brendan Cross, Paul Tierney, Brian Meskell and Derek Kiely.
More to come later in the week!
