Gaelforce west took place on Saturday in rough weather conditions. Rumors of the Kayak being canceled were circulating at registration but thankfully this did not turn out to be the case.
However underfoot conditions were realy heavy and the normally wet bog run became sinking wet bog runs - Croagh Patrick was a clud of fog which meant only wave 1 particiants cot to go to the top of the reek with wave 2/3/4 turning around half way up at the shoulder.
GoTri adventre participants were down this year but those present really did the jersey proud.
Sheila (05:36) & Theresa (06:23) both had great races to live it up with the lads in wave 1. Declan (04:07) was home in 13th despite a puncture on the famed skelp while Joe Laffan continued his great hil running form with a top 30 finish in 04:35 while Daniel flew down the reek to finish in 04:42.
